Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use this website or ask Energy Bill Finder to compare your energy bill. By using the site or submitting the form, you accept them.

What we do

We are an independent energy comparison service. We compare your current energy costs against plans available at your address and explain what we find. We are not an energy retailer, we are not your energy retailer's agent for the purpose of advising you, and we are not a government body or part of any government energy scheme.

We contact you only if you ask

We contact people who have asked us to, either through the form on this site or by telling one of our consultants. If you receive a message from us and you did not request it, reply STOP and we will remove your number.

What we ask of you

• Give us accurate details, and only submit a phone number and email address that are yours or that you are authorised to use.
• Do not use this site to submit someone else's details without their authority.
• Do not use this site unlawfully, or attempt to interfere with or gain unauthorised access to it.

The comparison

We do not compare every plan from every retailer in the market. We compare plans from the retailers we work with, which is a limited set. Any estimate of savings is based on the information available to us at the time, including what you tell us about your usage, and it is an estimate only. Your actual costs will depend on your real usage, your retailer's rates and charges, and any changes those retailers make.

No obligation, and no advice

Nothing we tell you is financial, legal or personal advice. You are under no obligation to change your plan. If you decide to sign up to a plan, your contract for that plan is with the energy retailer, not with us, and their terms and conditions apply.

How we are paid

Our service is free to you. We receive a commission from an energy retailer if you sign up to one of their plans through us. This may influence which retailers we work with. It does not change the price you pay.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on an estimate, from a retailer's acts or omissions, or from this website being unavailable or containing an error.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
